Bryan Wang

ALTO SAX

Bryan is the founder of The Jazz Factor and plays the alto. He is a well-rounded musician and a “natural leader” who has participated in six different ensembles, ranging from symphonic orchestras to marching bands to the Stanford Jazz Miles Ahead Group. Bryan also is the VP of the Harker Tri-M (Music Honor Society) club.

Brendan Wong

TENOR SAX

Brendan is the first tenor of Harker's Jazz Band. He has played both the tenor and alto saxophones for seven years and attended jazz workshops from the prestigious Stanford University. Brendan finds passion in playing music, and practices relentlessly to improve his sound and his improvisation.

MAX LEE

PIANO

Max is a talented pianist who has received classical training since he was four years old. He has won awards from multiple piano competitions, including the US Open Music Competition, and also enjoys singing and producing. At Harker, Max is part of Downbeat, the school's top show choir.

Ethan Fong

Drums

Ethan is a versatile drummer from the Nueva School that has been playing for six years. He is experienced in not only jazz but also genres such as rap, pop, and rock, and has self-taught himself how to record music professionally.

KATELYN CHEN

Vocals

Katelyn is our captivating vocalist. Though she is especially interested in jazz, she is a very well-rounded performing artist, excelling in dance and musical theater in addition to her pursuing her singing endeavors. Katelyn has been a part of three of Harker's high school choirs and is singing alto in Downbeat this year.

AJAY MADALA

Bass

Ajay is the top bass in Harker's Lab Band, the ensemble that most freshmen and sophomores play in. In addition to being a gifted musician, he works hard to head our band's public relations and is also working with Bryan to start a donor advised fund to work towards our philanthropic goals.
